It touched my heart

The other day, I was waiting for my parents to pay up at the cashier at giant. The was this Caucasian mum with 3 young children, say the oldest being 6 and the youngest 3? So, all her groceries were child-related products, from diapers to biscuits to milk and 3 toy balls. Just as the cashier scanned the 3 rubber balls the mum started to unwrap the balls from its platic bags. One by one, she passed a ball to each of the 3 children. You could really see them smiling. I smiled to myself too, as i watched them attempt to catch the ball after bouncing it once on the ground. It's really just amazing how a child's innocent smile can melt your heart. the 2 girls were happily playing with their balls, looking amazed at how the other party could catch the ball. Well, that's not it. after the youngest of the 3, who was in a pram threw his ball forward, the oldest girl went to retrieve it. As she happily returned the ball to her younger brother, her mother misunderstood the situation and started demanding for her(the oldest child's) ball back. That child was really shocked and disappointed yet, didn't dare to disobey her mother. Her mum took back the ball for some time before she started begging her mother.
'' pleeeeeaze mommy, can i have the ball back? mommy, please, i'll like to have my ball back. please mommy...*sob sob* mommy? mommy? mommy please?''
Her mother did not pay any attention to her until after paying for her groceries and leaving the cashier. As i watched, tears welled up in that child's eyes. She was sniffing and begging her mother to reutrn her her ball. Her sister was watching, by the side, afraid to speak. Yet, upon seeing her older sister really about to cry, she begun to hug her older sister and wiping the tears off her sister's face. She even offered to share her ball and started patting her sister on her head mumbling,''awww, don't cry, don't cry. i'll share my ball with you ok?''

isn't it sweet? i mean. imagine! they are only kids. 6 years old. primary one kids and they love each other so much! i wonder if i was so nice to my sister when i was that young. hmmmm...the last time i asked my mum about my behaviour in the past, i was the big bully. well well. i guess i answered my question.
